JoVa_Louis_Vuitton_Philanthropy ,SOS Children's Villages has welcomed children from around the world who have been orphaned, abandoned or with families that are unable to care for them. They’re given them access to education until they’re ready to be independent. SOS Children's Villages supports local communities in order to help disadvantaged families. The organisation benefits children and adults in the fields of education, family support, medical care and emergency relief. SOS Children's Villages has been part of local communities in 132 countries for more than 60 years. Richard Pichler is the Secretary General of SOS Children's Villages International. Louis Vuitton has previously partnered with supermodel Naomi Campbell to support the White Ribbon Alliance, a non-profit dedicated to reducing maternal mortality. Naomi partnered with Marc Jacobs, the creative director of LV, to design the bag. A portion of all proceeds went to the Alliance. The model is a global ambassador for the organisation, which has lobbies to support safe motherhood initiatives and empower women to demand safe and respectful medical services. The Alliance also works to address the effects on safe motherhood of poverty, HIV/AIDS, armed conflict, gender inequalities. Other philanthropic partnerships include: The climate project, L’excellence du Savoir Faire with Red Cross, Orphanaid Africa in Ghana with Rossy de Palma, Naked heart foundation in Russia with Natalia Vodianova, the Mandela Rhodes foundation in South Africa, and the King’s foundation charity in Thailand.
